The original pattern contained an error in row 3 of the herringbone stitch w/moss stitch border pattern. It should read:

Row 3: k1, p1, k1, k1, [k2, inc 1, k2, k2tog] until last 3 stitches, k1, p1, k1

I really, really, really like the finished scarf. The pattern has the slightest bit of texture to it, and it produces an pseudo-illusion effect when you look at it from different angles. At some angles the pattern shows up as a zigzag; at some angles you see vertical stripes. The effect is subtle, elegant, and looks good dressed-up or dressed-down.

• Trapezoid votive holders from Pier 1
• Votives, also from Pier 1
• 28-gauge silver wire
• Large assortment of beads in a bunch of different sizes
