The official boycott web site is up:
CafePress products for the boycott are available at www.cafepress.com/saynotosfse/. Proceeds from the store will either go towards legal defense (personally, I would love to see a class-action lawsuit on behalf of wronged knitters everywhere) or to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
I decided to support the boycott personally, but to leave Liv out of it. The webmistress at Free to Stitch, Free to Bitch has done a great job of designing a logo and a message that gets the point across without being offensive, and well…I can see that Liv would be offensive to some.
But I did give Liv her own home on CafePress for people who like that sort of thing (all proceeds go to…me). She’s starring on shirts, bags, buttons, magnets, stickers, and a ton of other products.
I’m kind of coveting the throw pillow. I got an email from CafePress telling me that I’d already sold a tote bag, which would be totally awesome since I hadn’t done any promotion besides spamming friends with the link to the store in various stages of completion, but it’s not showing up in my sales report. I guess I’ll believe it when I see it.
EDIT: Turns out I was looking in the wrong section of my account. The sale is showing in my order report! And it’s not someone I know! This should tell you that the products are awesome and you should go check out my store. Hehehehehe.
